Home After Six Months

I've been feeling a little homesick lately. Banff is super nice, quiet and all but this girl just needs a little of that city air, see the cherry blossoms and eat lots of Asian food. haha!

Crazy what cravings does to oneself, I bought a Greyhound ticket to Vancouver last Saturday for my three days off. And I swear I just had the longest bus ride in my entire life. Thirteen painful hours!!

Anyway my mom and younger brother picked me up from the station. I missed them so much that the moment I saw my brother I yelled out his name and ran towards them. Haha

It would've been such a heartfelt reunion but no, my brother had to ruin the moment by saying "Ate, anong nangyari sayo bakit ang pangit mo na" (Older Sister, what happened to you, why did you become so ugly) Oh dear! I guess were home now.

I took a walk around the neighborhood and I was so happy that even though I missed the full bloom I still got to see the last of the Yaezakura. So many pretty flowers around, if only I had more than three days I would've gone to the Van Dusen Botanical Garden! Would be nice to see those Golden Chain Trees in bloom too!

I didn't want to leave home. I really had to force myself to start packing and to get up. I do enjoy living by myself but I do miss having the family around. My mom, her stories, the brother and his jokes, my sister and how I love bugging her. haha!

Three days was too short of a vacation. The list of the people to meet and things to eat are too much for the three days. I guess I must really miss the comfort of home and the company of my family.

My brother wasn't home then but I had to leave or I might miss my bus back to Banff. So I called him  instead and apparently he didn't think I was leaving already so he went to the gym. So yeah, my mom drove me to the station and I swear I kept on telling her that I don't wanna go haha! I was already in line, ready to board the bus so I dialed my brothers number just so I could say goodbye but then surprise surprise I saw him walking towards me. Isn't it nice? He begged the guy manning the gate to let him inside. His words doesn't really match up to his actions haha. Oh Koy! I'm pretty sure you miss your BEAUTIFUL Ate! haha
